Role overview:

Dynamo is looking for a highly motivated Sales Engineer who can jump in and start contributing to our client and prospect pipeline from day one. The Sales Engineer role is a key part in the initial phase of the clients’ lifecycle. The primary focus is working closely with the Sales team, preparing detailed demonstrations and Proof of Concepts for prospective clients who have complex business requirements. The ideal candidate will accumulate extensive technical and business-related knowledge over a short period of time across many areas of the Dynamo platform and get familiar our client’s business processes. The Sales Engineer will have exposure across multiple areas of the Alternatives ecosystem.


Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Prepare and give technical presentations to prospective clients on how Dynamo products and services can benefit their organizations
  • Gather client requirements through qualification calls and workshops
  • Prepare Proof of Concepts & develop and continually improve demo databases based on feedback from the sales team
  • Prepare and manage responses to RFIs and RFPs
  • Liaise with the Product Team to address client requirements and contribute to the development pipeline of the product
  • Coordinate closely with internal sales, product, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements
  • Consult clients on best practices of software implementation
  • Build close client relationships

What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales Engineering, Presales Consulting or Business Analysis role + undergraduate degree in relevant field
    • Preference for candidates who have previous experience in financial software solutions industry
  • Robust understanding of the Alternative Investments industry and market/strategies
  • Advance presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Understanding of partnership and portfolio accounting
  • Knowledge of private capital financial reporting.
  • Proven track record of successful presentations of software and technical concepts to senior level executives
  • Ability to engage and influence at all levels within a client's organization by demonstrating solutions’ value
  • Experience managing internal and external relationships to ensure alignment for desired outcomes
  • Technical aptitude to scope, define needs, and offer customized software and service solutions
  • Self-starter; someone able to find solutions to complex problems and desire to work in entrepreneurial, fast-pace environment
  • Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Excel
  • Available to travel to client locations and occasional corporate events
